The Coalition Looce - Do You (Cover)

I've told you all before that I was super excited to present Looce's first official video! It was fun to watch this and made me a proud sister!! I liked the fact that is was intimate and the video turned out exactly the way Zeek wanted it to. Watching it had me thinking of what's to come for him. Big shout out to One Shot Media Films. Also to Buka and Destiny. You guys are awesome!
I think he has the whole package. Mark my words my friends, he's gonna make it big.
He's special, I can see it! I always have, always will. Looce reminds me so much of my love Zeek. Their work ethic makes me want to work harder and become better. They think alike and have their goals set. No one is going to stop them from living their dreams. And that is something that you can not teach!!

Busy weekend!!

Uso Coalition had quite the busy weekend and might I add very productive.
Friday morning the Utah crew drove in and it was down to business the minute they came in. For those of you who don't know, there are five members of the group. Three of them reside in California and the other two live in Utah.
They went down to a studio in Alhambra and laid down a few tracks and re-recorded their other songs for their demo cd.
On Saturday morning, they were ready for their photo shoot with our awesome friend actually more like family member and photographer Janet Ropati.
They shot at two locations in Southern California; our backyard and Mile Square Park. The first part of the shoot was a casual wear and then they dressed it up with suits. They sure do clean up well!!
After their photo shoot they shot a video for one of their songs they have not yet released so stay tuned for me to release it once it's done.
They shot their video at Mile Square Park with one of their friends, Random Face. Check him out on youtube. His videos are quality and he's a real stand up guy. Very genuine and humble!
After that they went up to Oceanside to shoot the rest of their video.
I can definitely say it was a productive weekend for the group and just the start of many more busy weekends.
The thing that will set them apart from all the rest of the groups out there is the work they are willing to put in. It's like the saying goes, "the early bird gets the worm" so I hope that they all know that their success will only come to them if they are willing to put in the work. Seems self exlpanatory and so simple yet not a lot of people are willing to put in the time and effort.
Through ups and downs, good and bad. It will all pay off.
I am totally willing to sacrifice time with my husband if it means he is able to pursue his dreams. I believe in him. I hope he knows how much support he actually has and that I'm in it through the long haul. They make me proud and am grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people!! Happy Monday everyone!!

EXCITED!!

This weekend is all work and no play!!
The Coalition will be gearing up to get in the studio tonight and photo shoot tomorrow morning!!

Steph

This is Steph or better known as Siss.

She is the oldest member of the group and my awesome sister in-law. I love her raw and unique voice. I love watching her perform. She has a stage presence that is quite enrapturing. Once she gets on the stage, she draws everyone in and it is quite an experience to behold. She was definitely born with a wonderful talent to perform and to share her love of music with all those around her.

This is Kayz! He is a very talented beat maker and lyricist! All of his beats are original and I think they are simply amazing. The few times I've been around when he plays new beats have just blown me away. His mind and creativity are out of this world. I honestly think his beats are a worthy oppenent for anything you would hear on the radio and his rhymes are just as great! The thing I love about his verses are they hit close to home. They're deep and everyone can relate to his words. He plays a crucial part in the group. His beats really are top quality!!

Looce!!

This good looking fellow, Looce is the youngest of the group! He's very versatile. He plays football, rugby, basketball, the guitar, sings, dances and fixes everything around the house.
He has the "IT" factor as most people like to call it. He is the most mature 19 year old I have ever come in contact with. He has a good head on his shoulders. He knows where he's going in life and knows what he needs to do to get there.
He has a voice that will make any girl swoon AND has the face to go along with it!
I still see him as the three year old that I used to play with when their family came down to Utah to visit but he has definitely grown into a wonderful young man. Check out some of his covers on YouTube. You won't be disappointed. You can also follow him on Instagram: @looce

Zeek Uso Coalition - 32 Bars (Freestyle)

Check out Zeek's video. It was shot by One Shot Media Films. They did a great job and I am so proud of my husband!
To people who don't know him he is reserved, soft spoken and very polite. I think this video puts him in his true element. I love how creative he is and how genius he is lyrically. It has been a great joy watching him do what he loves and put forth everything he has into his music. His hard work will definitely pay off. I am a big fan not only because he's my husband but because he's real and his lyrics are raw, hopeful and meaningful. Hope you all enjoy it just as much as I have!!

Getting Started

This blog is strictly in support of my husband Isaiah better known as Zeek and his music group, The Coalition. They are also referred to as Uso Coaltion. They will have a website up soon and you'll be able to keep track of what's going on with them there so stay tuned. Until then I will write about their updates, what they have all been up to and I will highlight each of the group members.

THE COALITION
 The definition of coalition is an alliance for combined action.

USO means brother or sister in the Samoan language.
A male referring to another male as a brother would call him his "uso."
A female referring to another female as a sister would call her, "uso."

The Coalition is a family based music group. They have been performing officially together since 2005. The genre of music they specialize in is hip-hop, reggae and R & B. They are originally from Garden Grove, California. All original songs (Empty Bottles & Roaches, Spaceships, 32 Bars Freestyle, On a Good One, etc.) are written, sung, and produced by The Coalition. Our very own Kasey makes all of their beats!! This talented group is a force to be reckoned with and their talents will take them far but the work they are willing to put in will show that they will succeed.
They are a band of brothers and sisters united with one goal which is to create great music and enjoyable events for their fans.
